On 5-7 October, 2011 an European conference on innovation in digital inclusion, is to take place in Gdansk (Poland). In the course of the event, a review of key initiatives in the field will be attempted. The conference, organized within the frames of Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will serve as a forum for debate on models and tools benefitting millions of digitally excluded Europeans by introducing them to the digital world and by demonstrating innovative uses of ICT for independent living of adults and elderly, their health security and participation in cultural and social life.
The conference is included as a component of the official programme of the Polish Presidency of the European Union, adopted by the Government of Poland.
The theme of the conference will be: INNOVATION for DIGITAL INCLUSION.
